๐Ÿ’Š๐Ÿ’Š The Hand Behind The Scalpel ๐Ÿ’Š๐Ÿ’Š

๐Ÿ’Š "The Hand behind the Scalpel" ๐Ÿ’Š

"Hey you !!", she shouted. I turned back and gazed at her. "What is wrong with you? Can't you atleast pretend that you care a pinch about me ?" She was rattled and now stranded.
Well, judge-me-not by this little crap of above. There is a whole story behind.
Actually, we met at work. I was one of the most admired doc and she was the prettiest nurse over there. To be true, I was never into her, neither was she.
All this happened as of what we refer as cat-luck. We were in the OR; the lead surgeon demonstrating about the procedures one last time before we executed. ".... and we will stitch back the skin and op is done", the surgeon concluded. "Now, let's begin. Nurse Felix, scalpel please", he added.
She handed him the scalpel and the op was just begun. I mean, he had just cut through the skin and there was blood.

Thung, Thung, tin, tin and Bang..... We, all turned over to see what happened. Nurse Alice had just fallen down. "Dr. Martin, kindly take her out of OR", the lead surgeon commanded. No wonder I was just a resident and nevertheless how eager I was to assist and observe the operation, I had my orders from my superior and had to carry them on.
I took her out and laid her down on the couch nearby, sprinkled some water. There comes her consciousness. "Goodness gracious !!", she exclaimed," I thought I had it under control by now".
She might have guessed my puzzled face. "I have haemophobia; as in afraid of blood, so, I sometimes faint seeing blood", she explained.
Well !! This was our first encounter.

After I heard her, I glanced at her and left to the OR. Alas ! They had already done the op and even patient was moved. "Dr. Martin, How is Nurse Alice, now?", a fellow nurse inquired.
"Well ! Not every haemophobic have this courage to come stand up in the...."
I hadn't completed my sentence and there she was back afoot in the OR. Gosh ! She heard it. She heard it, damn right, she heard.
There was some sort of turbulence going on in my head. I kept my mouth shut and left for my apartment. That was the last op in the day, and I didn't even get to observe...
I drove back to my apartment. I was alone in the car and the music was on. After few minutes, it rang. There was a new number on the screen. I picked it up, wondering who is having auch a trouble to disturb me at this hour of night.
"Hello, Is this Dr. Martin ?"
"Yes, may I know who is this ?"
" Dr. Martin, it's me, who you made famous as the only haemophobic nurse in our hospital."
Shit, I said in my mind. "Well, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it that way."
"Well ! You don't need to apologize for that. And, I didn't call to remind you of it."
"Hmm, I myself had wanted to apologize. Anyways, what is the matter then?"
"Sir, there is an emergency case and every other doctors are busy; making you handle this one."
"Oh no ! At this hour ? Isn't there any other ways? Well ! Ok, send me details. I'm on my way."
Well !! I had to return. Ofcourse, we can't risk the life of patient.
I reached. There were sparkling lights of cops' cars and few mercedes. I guess, it is some VIP waiting for me. I was intruiged.
Alas, there was small pools of blood on the path from the ER door.
